In the presence of Denys Maliuska, Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, the States present reaffirmed their continued support for the International Criminal Court (ICC). In addition to the substantial contributions already made, states have pledged additional financial support and the deployment of human resources to strengthen the ICC's investigations and ensure accountability for major international crimes. Sam Tanson underlined Luxembourg's support for all collective initiatives to ensure the accountability of the perpetrators of these crimes. The additional financial contribution of Luxembourg to the ICC Prosecutor's Office is EUR 100,000. The Minister also reiterated Luxembourg's support for the creation of a special international tribunal for the crime of aggression. "This work does not compete with the International Criminal Court, but is fully in line with the principle of complementarity, so that there are no loopholes in the fight against impunity."

In the margins of the conference, Sam Tanson had the opportunity to exchange views with the Spanish Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop Cuenca, on the topics of human trafficking, illegal adoption of children in the context of the war in Ukraine, and domestic violence and gender-based violence.
